Hello all you cake loving people!
We’re Meg and Em the owners of Bakery 91 and we have been best friends since basically, forever! Our friendship was formed in secondary school and we’ve been inseparable since.
Most people’s first question about us is ‘where does the name Bakery 91 come from?’. Well, we went traveling when we were 18 (absolute babies looking back!) and we were gone for 91 days and this was where our little dream was born.
We travelled around the world visiting South East Asia, Australia, Fiji and America. We met so many wonderful people and ate some incredible food and it made us realise we couldn’t go back to ‘normal jobs’ when we returned home.
We did in-fact have ‘normal jobs’ for a couple of years until we thought what are we doing, let’s just go for it! We juggled the bakery alongside full time jobs for a year until we decided enough is enough let’s jump in the deep end.
So here we are, full time, self employed bakery owners… CRAZY!
We’re still learning a lot and finding our feet somewhat but we are loving providing all you lovely lot delicious bakes and cakes.
